On 14 October, a delegation from Hungary's LIFE National Contact Point stopped off at Ruffino during a study tour in Italy led by their Italian NCP counterparts.
During this tour, the Hungarian delegation visited various projects funded by the LIFE programme in different parts of Italy, including VitiCaSe.
During the morning spent at the Poggio Casciano estate, Gabriele Mongardi - Technical Project Manager - explained the project's activities and objectives to our guests, as well as the goals achieved so far and the next steps.

Thanks to the presence of Lorena Troccoli - Estate Manager at Ruffino - it was then possible to delve into detail about the sustainable vineyard management practices that are being implemented in the pilot farms. Participation in this project represents a further step for Ruffino in its journey towards environmental sustainability in all stages of production, which began some time ago, as explained by Thomas Blasi - CSR & Environmental Manager at Ruffino.
Particular interest was shown in the selected practices, the Italian production context, and the composition of the partnership, which includes various actors with different and well-integrated skills.
After concluding the morning with a visit to the Poggio Casciano estate winery led by Lidia Ceseri - Communication & PR Manager - our guests then continued their tour to learn about other Italian LIFE projects.
