On Friday 22 November 2024, the LIFE VitiCaSe project - “Viticulture for soil organic carbon sequestration” (LIFE22 CCA-IT-LIFE-VitiCaSe/101113620) will hold its first demonstration event (“Demo Day”) in Noventa di Piave (VE).
LIFE VitiCaSe focuses on carbon farming in viticulture, characterized by a series of agricultural and soil management practices aimed at increasing the capacity of the viticultural ecosystem to capture and retain atmospheric carbon. Project activities include, among others: creation of a database on agronomic practices; creation of an IT tool for the estimation of the Carbon stock; implementation of the system in 4 pilot vineyards; certification of Carbon Credits and placement on exchange platforms.
