LIFE VitiCaSe featured in the first issue of PAC Magazine

Published on 2026-06-01

The focus of the first issue of the CAP National Network magazine is "CARBON FARMING."

"From the new European framework to field projects, carbon farming enters the operational phase. Between eco-schemes, carbon credits, and regenerative practices, agriculture and forestry are seeking a balance between climate mitigation, economic sustainability, and still-uncertain market rules."

This is the headline of the editorial by Valentina Baratella and Silvia Vanino, CREA - Agriculture and Environment Research Center.

This first issue features many in-depth articles. The article

"REGENERATIVE VITICULTURE: THE EXPERIENCE OF THE LIFE VitiCaSe PROJECT"

is dedicated to LIFE VitiCaSe.
Carbon farming in viticulture, towards carbon credit certification and the transfer of Sustainable Soil Management practices - Edited by Gabriele Mongardi, Matteo Munaro, Simona Palermo, and Cristiano Spadoni - Image Line srl, Faenza (RA), Leader of LIFE VitiCaSe

Catia Zumpano (ODGPR, CREA - Research Center for Policies and Bioeconomy) interviewed Simona Palermo and Lorena Troccoli, respectively of Image Line and Tenute Ruffino / Associazione Donne della Vite, involved in the LIFE VitiCaSe project:

"WOMEN AND CARBON FARMING: SKILLS, NETWORKS, AND VISION FOR REGENERATIVE VITICULTURE"

Technique, collaboration, and long-term vision: the role of women professionals in the regenerative transition.

The role of women in the primary sector in 2026, the International Year of Women Farmers, is strengthened with agronomists, researchers, and entrepreneurs active in soil, climate, and biodiversity regeneration.
This is the context in which the article focuses: addressing the challenges of climate change and sustainability through regenerative practices. This testimony is part of the Observatory on Gender Differences in the Primary Sector (ODGPR) of the Center for Policies and Bioeconomy, which promotes the contribution of female professionals involved in the ecological transition.
