Digital and Good Agronomic Practices: LIFE VitiCaSe at UniBo

Cesena, November 29, 2024 – Gabriele Mongardi, Technical Project Manager of the LIFE VitiCaSe project, delivered a lecture at the University of Bologna, Cesena campus, focusing on digital agriculture, good agronomic practices, Common Agricultural Policy (thanks to "CAP4AgroInnovation - Agrifood Edition" Project).

During the session, Mongardi introduced the goals and actions of LIFE VitiCaSe, a European project aimed at supporting wine producers in adopting sustainable and innovative practices. Key topics included the role of digitalization in farm management, resource efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and the importance of monitoring the carbon cycle in vineyards.

The event highlighted the critical importance of engaging younger generations in building a sustainable agricultural future, demonstrating how digital tools can streamline agronomic practices and enhance business competitiveness.

The lecture concluded with a clear message: the future of agriculture lies in innovation and education.
