Summer field visits to the farms involved in the VitiCaSe project

Published on 2025-08-07

During summer 2025, a new round of technical field visits was carried out at the wineries participating in the LIFE VitiCaSe project, as part of the monitoring activities under WP6.

The first visit took place on June 24th at Ruffino,

In each farm, the experimental plots involved in the project were visited, and a direct exchange took place between the agronomists of the pilot farms and the staff from CREA and Image Line on the regenerative agronomic practices being implemented: cover crops, grassing, application of organic fertilizers such as manure, mycorrhiza inoculation, and soil and water management.

These visits provided a valuable opportunity to assess in the field the results achieved so far, collect detailed agronomic feedback, and jointly discuss the challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

Engaging with those who work daily in the vineyards is essential to fine-tune the experimental practices, measure their real impact, and ensure their replicability.

These summer field visits represent a key step in supporting farms in their transition towards more sustainable farming systems, in line with the project’s objectives.
