PODCAST - Regenerative Agriculture: Technology and Biodiversity

Published on 2025-07-09

Women on Web is Transizioni's podcast that aims to showcase the skills, talent, and commitment of women at a time when the dual transition—digital and ecological—represents a crucial challenge for transforming the economy, society, and relationships between people. Because, as Simone de Beauvoir said, "if God created something more beautiful than women, he must have kept it for himself."
The podcast episodes have featured testimonials from MARTINA LASCIALFARI (Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale), BARBARA SANTI (Agenda Digitale Emilia Romagna), ILENIA DERIU (Tim), DONATA COLUMBRO (IULM University), LILIA GIUGNI (University College London), and many others.

The July episode is dedicated to the combination of women, agriculture, and innovation and is titled "Regenerative Agriculture: Technology and Biodiversity."

Hosts Federica Meta and Francesca Pucci interviewed Simona Palermo, head of Image Line's Special Projects and CSR business unit and leader of LIFE VitiCaSe.

You can listen to the podcast (in italian language) on all your favorite platforms.

Here's an excerpt from the podcast:

Question: In your work with Special Projects and CSR, you've often crossed paths with sustainability, training, and the local area. Is there an experience, initiative, or female figure that has struck you and that well represents this new female leadership in agriculture?

It's difficult to single out a single figure, because I've been fortunate to meet so many competent, visionary, and at the same time practical women. But what truly strikes me, beyond individuals, is the strength of women's networks: spaces for discussion, co-planning, and shared growth.
(...) We collaborate with the Women of the Vine Association on the LIFE VitiCaSe project, dedicated to regenerative viticulture. Here, scientific expertise intertwines with a sensitivity to the local area and landscape, and many of the key figures are women who work in the field, in laboratories, and on wineries. These networks reflect a new, more collaborative leadership style, focused on quality relationships and collective well-being.
