Carbon farming and viticulture: take the CREA survey and share your experience!

Published on 2025-07-14

How are Italian wineries addressing the challenge of climate change? What carbon farming practices are already in place, and what obstacles are limiting their spread? To answer these questions, CREA – as part of the LIFE VitiCaSe project – has launched a national survey aimed at producers, consultants, and researchers in the wine sector.

👉 Participate now (it only takes 5 minutes):
Fill out the questionnaire [IT language]

Why participate?

The questionnaire is a fundamental tool for:
• Understanding the real needs of wineries;
• Gathering experiences and suggestions from those working in the field;
• Directing research activities and upcoming publications of the LIFE VitiCaSe project.

Your contribution will help develop concrete tools and solutions for regenerative viticulture, capable of increasing soil carbon storage and combating environmental degradation.

Already online: the first useful tools

On the LIFE VitiCaSe project website, you can already consult and download materials dedicated to carbon farming in viticulture, including:
•    The Technical Manual on Carbon Storage in Vineyard Soils;
•    The Best Practices Manual for "Sustainable Soil Management";
•    Other content designed to support farmers, technicians, and decision-makers.

LIFE VitiCaSe: For a Regenerating Viticulture

The LIFE VitiCaSe project promotes the valorization of the vineyard as an ally in the fight against climate change, through agricultural practices that improve soil fertility and increase organic carbon stock.

Your experience matters. Help us build a more sustainable future for Italian viticulture.
